About

I was once asked what I loved about fashion dolls, and my answer was the ability to make it my own. While crafting has sometimes been about affordability for me, it’s also been about making the thing I wanted that I simply couldn’t find in stores, and personalizing it.

I explore many types of crafts, whatever seems best suited to the task: beading, craft sticks, felt, and air-dry clay, to name a few. I prefer crafts that use accessible materials and are simple and straightforward to construct. A clever application of an everyday item for a big effect is my favorite kind of craft.

I generally showcase crafts that can be completed in a short amount of time, around one hour or less. I also have a soft spot for crafts that are low-mess with little cleanup.

I believe it’s possible to create remarkable items with no prior experience or skill, and a minimal investment of time and money. The only prerequisites are curiosity and enthusiasm. It’s a little bit messy, a little imperfect, and it doesn’t always go according to plan. I hope to share the journey with you.

A Note About Categories

I determine the difference between an “Easy Craft” and a “Challenging Craft” as the number of times I need to repeat the activity to feel I’ve gotten the desired result. For an Easy Craft, only one attempt is required. For a Challenging Craft, multiple attempts are necessary. This is for me personally. Others results may vary.
