DIY Mini Wood Chair [6:1 Scale for Fashion Dolls]

I can’t resist an opportunity to use craft sticks. This is one of my favorites.

Supplies:

  • Wood Stain or Paint Any color works here. Could also leave the wood uncoated for a natural look.

My Process:

First, I measured and cut six craft sticks 3.5″ long

Then, I cut one craft stick in half and glued that to the back of the other six to form the back of the chair.

Next, I measured and cut fourteen craft sticks 2.75″ long.

I took six of these sticks and arranged them in a line. I cut one new craft stick in half and glued it to these six to form the seat of the chair.

I then took the back of the chair and the seat and glued them together at the base.

Next, I took those remaining eight 2.75″ sticks and glued them together in pairs to form the legs of the chair.

I attached them to the base of the chair at each of the four corners. With that, the structure of my chair was complete.

Finally, I stained my chair and let it dry for a few days. With that, my chair was complete.

I made a couple of these to form a set, and will likely make a few more. This craft seems to be a staple that I come back to again and again. Stay tuned for the next variation!

Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
