DIY Mini Kitchen Table [6:1 Scale for Fashion Dolls]

What dollhouse couldn’t use an extra table? I modeled this after a kitchen table, but I could easily use it on a patio, breakfast nook, or dining room. Here’s how I made it.

Supplies:

  • Wood Stain or Paint: I liked the look of the wood stain myself. Could also leave the wood uncoated for a natural look.

My Process:

First, I cut the rounded ends off of the wide craft sticks using the scissors.

I arranged eight of these sticks in a square, and then used the two remaining sticks to glue them together to form a table top.

Next, I took the regular craft sticks, and cut the rounded ends off of both sides of those.

I then glued together pairs of these sticks perpendicular to each other length-wise, to form legs for the table.

I then glued the ends of each leg to the bottom of the table top.

With the structure complete, it was now time to stain the table. I applied a wood stain using a foam brush and let that dry a day or so. With that, my table was complete!

I really enjoyed the additional element of wood stain with this craft. I’m curious to experiment with different colors going forward. Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
