DIY Mini Table Runner [6:1 Scale for Fashion Dolls]

Sometimes a doll table needs decoration. This is where a table runner comes in.

Supplies:

Fat Quarter Fabric Square: Available in any color imaginable.

Fabric Glue: To keep the edges from fraying.

Ruler or Cutting Board, Fabric Scissors, Craft Mat

My Process:

First, I measured my table, and then added a couple inches of fabric on either side for the runner to hang down. For me, that was 9″ long. Then, I measured and cut a rectangle of fabric 9″ long by 1.5″ wide.

Next, to create the fringed edges, I pulled away at the threads along each side of the fabric, until I had a border of about 1/4″ on each side.

Finally, to prevent additional fraying, I applied a dab of fabric glue to each corner. With that, my table runner was complete.

This was a quick and easy craft to try. I hope to experiment with other colors and fabrics for further decoration.

Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
