DIY Mini Pearl Bracelet [6:1 Scale for Fashion Dolls]

This style of bracelet is a classic in life-sized form. I felt inspired to create a miniature version of it. Here is what came up.

Supplies:

  • Pearl White Seed Beads, 2 mm: Could be in any color or variety. The size of 2 mm seems to fit well at 6:1 doll scale.

My Process:

First, I measured and cut a 6″ piece of beading wire. I twisted one end into a loop using the needle nose pliers.

Next, I strung pearl white seed beads on to the wire until I had a string of beads roughly 4.75″ long

Then, I took a pen (in my case, it was a Pilot G-2 gel pen that seemed to have just the right dimensions), removed the top, and wound the string of beads around the pen, forming a spiral.

I now just needed some finishing touches. I slid the spiral off the pen, trimmed some excess wire from the end, and then bent the end piece into a loop. With that, my mini pearl bracelet was complete.

This was a really easy craft to learn and complete, but with impressive results. I’m curious to try this design in other colors. Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
