I had an doll living room set that was missing a coffee table. I wanted something elegant yet simple to complement the existing set. Here is what came up.

Supplies:
Wide Craft Sticks (6″ long) x 4: These form the sides of the table.
Regular Craft Sticks (4.5″ long) x 8: These form the legs and support the “glass”.
Clear Plastic Sheet: This forms the top of the coffee table.
Hot Glue Gun, Ruler, Pencil, Craft Mat, Cutting Board, Utility Knife
My Process:
To start, I measured a 45 degree angle at each end of one of the wide craft sticks, cut the ends, and then used that as a template to mark and cut the other sticks.

Next, I marked one of the regular craft sticks with two sections of 1.75″ each. I cut those two sections, and use one to mark and cut three other craft sticks, for a total of eight 1.75″ sections.

Next, I measured the inside length of one of the wide craft sticks. In this case, it was 10 cm. This would be the length of the plastic square sides. I measured and outlined 10 cm on the plastic sheet.

Then, I scored the plastic sheet with a utility knife. Once scored, I snapped the plastic along a straight edge. I did this twice, once for each marked side.

Next, I started to assemble the table. I glued the wide craft sticks together first at the 45 degree angles.

Then I glued two of the regular craft sticks to the bottom of the table, slightly offset from the inside edge of the wide craft sticks. This would form a lip for the plastic to rest on.

The two remaining regular sticks I needed to mark and cut before gluing into place.

Now, it was time to attach the legs. First, I glued pairs of the 1.75″ segments together length-wise in an “L” shape.

Then, I glued each leg to the underside of the table top.

Finally, I righted the table and inserted the plastic sheet. My coffee table was complete!

I love how this craft turned out, and I think it will be a great addition to my doll’s living room.
Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
