DIY Mini Faux Leather Handbag [6:1 Scale for Fashion Dolls]

I modeled this craft after one of my favorite handbags. It’s the perfect size tote to fit everything my dolls might need.

First, I cut out the template outline and then traced it onto one of the faux leather sheets. I cut the faux leather along the outline.

Next, I applied glue along the right and left sides of the handbag body and clamped the two pieces together. I then turned the piece inside-out.

Next, I attached the long sides of the base with the hot glue gun.

Then, I used the hot glue gun and a toothpick to attach the small wings to the sides of the base.

Finally, I two small strips of leather, 4″ long x 1/4″ wide, for the straps of the handbag.

I glued the straps using the fabric glue, removed the clamps, and my handbag was complete.

I like how this craft turned out. I’d like to experiment more with other designs and fabrics. Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting, and happy crafting!
